It was no surprise that Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated last week on "Dancing with the Stars." Nick and Peta had been in jeopardy almost every week in Season 25. It was apparent that it was time for their luck to run out. Nick jokingly said that when he went on "Dancing With The Stars," he couldn't dance and when he left the show, he still couldn't dance. He said it as a joke, but he was telling the truth.

When they appeared on "Good Morning America" the next day, Peta acknowledged that they were expecting to be eliminated. She also said that since she and Nick have left, fans might give Nick's wife, Vanessa, the votes they were splitting between the two.

Halloween Night

Eight couples are left to compete in the Halloween episode. They will dress up as their favorite characters and perform an individual dance before dancing as a team. Therefore, the stars will have to learn two new dances.

This particular episode has been fun to watch in previous years. Sometimes the judges dress up in Halloween costumes to celebrate along with the dancers.

Three couples will dance the Paso Doblé. The other couples will dance the Charleston, a Contemporary, the Jive, a Tango and the Viennese Waltz. Then they will prepare to compete with their teams.

Team Dances

Two teams will dance against each other. All team dancers will get the same score. Therefore, everyone has to work together to get scores higher than the other team.

The judges will be looking for creativity, the best choreography, and the way the team members perform together.

While it might seem all the best dancers are on one team, the groups are not unevenly stacked. It is hard to predict how well the dancers will perform as a team. However, you can rest assured that head judge Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli will be watching and commenting on everything.

Team Monster Mash includes Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold, Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas, Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev, and Terrell Owen and Cheryl Burke. Cheryl is the captain of this team that has the four highest scoring dancers from last week’s show. Besides, Jordan Fisher and Lindsey Stirling have been the frontrunners all season.

Team Phantom of the Opera includes Drew Scott and Emma Slater, Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson, Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Victoria Arlen and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Drew is the captain of this team.
