Following a solid month of speculation, superstar Gwen Stefani confirmed the news via Twitter on Sept. 21 that longtime boyfriend and fellow "The Voice" mentor Blake Shelton will make a vocal appearance on her upcoming Christmas album entitled "You Make it Feel Like Christmas." Stefani shared a teaser clip of the collaboration, which happens to be the album's titular track and will serve as the first single.

Fans who pre-order the album beginning this evening will receive the full version of the song.

Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton team up for 'You Make it Feel Like Christmas'

The 14-second teaser of the decidedly upbeat "You Make it Feel Like Christmas" features Stefani and Shelton crooning the song's likely chorus. The peppy lyrics are as follows:

Sleigh bells singing hallelujah

Stars are shining on us too

I wanna thank you baby

You make it feel like Christmas

The country music superstar responded to the announcement in typical Blake Shelton fashion by retweeting Stefani's post with the comment "Daddy Likey.."

In addition to the Stefani/Shelton combo effort, the new album will feature a mix of new Christmas songs and old standards, including "Jingle Bells," "Let it Snow," "White Christmas," and "Silent Night," among others.

More music for Stefani

"You Make it Feel Like Christmas," which is set for an Oct. 6 release, will be the fourth solo studio album for the 47-year-old pop singer and longtime No Doubt frontwoman. Stefani's most recent compilation, entitled "This is What the Truth Feels Like," was released in March of 2016 as she coped with -- and moved on from -- the end of her 13-year marriage to English musician Gavin Rossdale. In fact, she dubbed the effort her "breakup album." Her other two solo albums, "The Sweet Escape" and "Love. Angel. Music. Baby.," were released in 2006 and 2004, respectively.

When "The Voice" returns to NBC on Sept. 25 for its 13th season, Blake Shelton -- who has emerged as the winning coach a record five times -- will once again serve as a mentor to a batch of up-and-coming aspiring singers from around the nation.

Stefani, however, will sit out the season as newcomer Jennifer Hudson occupies one of the big red chairs for the very first time. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine -- who recently revealed that he's expecting baby number two with wife Behati Prinsloo -- and singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus will round out the four-mentor panel.

"The Voice" 2017 begins Sept 25 on NBC with the first round of blind auditions.
