"The Voice" 2017 resumed Nov. 27 on NBC as the top 11 aspiring singers still alive in the hunt for the season 13 title once again performed live for America's votes. Although each contestant turned in a respectable iteration of a song chosen for him or her by America, none had a better showing than Team Blake's Chloe Kohanski, whose version of the iconic Bonnie Tyler hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" reached number one on the Itunes top 200 chart before the show even finished airing on the west coast.
Chloe Kohanski tops the iTunes chart, earns iTunes bonus
Assuming Kohanski's cover holds its position in the iTunes top 10 through the 9 AM Nov. 28 close of the week's voting window, she will earn an iTunes five-times vote multiplier bonus for the effort. It will be the aspiring singer's first iTunes bonus of the season; she came close with her Nov. 20 cover of "Thank You," which came in at number 17 when time expired last week and still ranked 147th as of press time.
Addison Agen, others excel following 'The Voice' top 11 show
Also performing well with iTunes voters as of press time was Team Adam's Addison Agen, whose take on Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You" came in at number three on the hot singles chart.
If the cover retains a spot in the top 10, Agen will score her second vote multiplier of the season; the first came courtesy of her Nov. 20 take on Sara Bareilles' "She Used to Be Mine," which rose to number nine of the iTunes chart.
Also close to scoring a bonus was Team Blake's Red Marlow, whose cover of the mega hit Garth Brooks ballad "The Dance" came in at number 13 mid-way through the west coast broadcast.
Early iTunes results for the remainder of the contestants were as follows: Davon Fleming, "I Have Nothing," number 24; Noah Mac, "Electric Love," number 27; Keisha Renee, "It Matters to Me," number 38; Brooke Simpson, "What About Us," number 40; Ashland Craft, "Chicken Fried," number 86; Janice Freeman, "Shine," number 99; Adam Cunningham, "American Girl," number 112; and Shi'Ann Jones, "Listen," number 117.
When "The Voice" 2017 top 11 results show airs Nov. 28 beginning at 8 PM, nine contestants will advance safely to the top 10 thanks to the public vote. The two hopefuls with the lowest vote totals will go head to head during the season's second Twitter Instant Save battle shortly before the episode concludes. Who will move on in the competition and who will head home? Tune in and find out.
