"The Voice" 2017 resumes Nov. 27 on NBC as the top 11 hopefuls singing under the guidance of superstar coaches Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton hit the stage to perform live for America's votes. A pre-show update to the iTunes store revealed snippets of the popular, voter-selected songs that each aspiring performer will take on; so who's planning to sing what for a shot at an iTunes bonus and extended competition life?
Tom Petty, P!nk covers on tap
A week after she snagged the season's first iTunes bonus for her cover of the 2015 Sara Bareilles single "She Used to be Mine," Addison Agen will hope for more of the same with her spin on Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You." Agen's sole remaining Team Adam compatriot, Adam Cunningham --who narrowly escaped elimination by winning the Twitter Instant Save over former teammate Jon Mero on Nov.
21-- will take on Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' "American Girl."
For Team Miley, Brooke Simpson will get current with "What About Us," the first single from the recent P!nk release "Beautiful Trauma." Ashland Craft, conversely, will deliver her take on the Zac Brown Band anthem "Chicken Fried," and Janice Freeman is scheduled to take on the 1992 Collective Soul offering "Shine."
JHud, Team Blake picks
For Team Jennifer, Noah Mac will take on the Borns hit "Electric Love," while Davon Fleming is slated to cover the 1992 Whitney Houston release "I Have Nothing." The third member of JHud's trio, Shi'Ann Jones, will take on Beyonce's "Listen."
Finally, the three "The Voice" 2017 hopefuls singing under the guidance of country superstar Shelton will cover an eclectic trio of tunes.
Chloe Kohanski, who landed in the iTunes top 20 for her Nov. 20 iteration of Dido's "Thank You," will shoot for a top 10 placement and her very first iTunes bonus with her spin on "Total Eclipse of the Heart." Red Marlow will go with a classic Garth Brooks hit in the 1990 mega success "The Dance," while Keisha Renee will cover the 1995 Faith Hill single "It Matters to Me."
"The Voice" 2017 top 11 performance show airs live tonight on NBC beginning at 8 PM ET.
Covers that appear in the top 10 of the iTunes hot 200 singles chart at the close of the week's voting window on Tuesday morning (Nov. 28) will score five-time iTunes vote multipliers for their efforts. Watch the results show on Nov. 28 and hit social media to vote during season 13's second Twitter Instant Save window to extend one lucky hopeful's show tenure for another episode.
