The finale of "Pretty Little Liars" may have ended a couple months ago, but it looks like the story has found a way to continue. Although the "PLL" finale brought a satisfactory closure to the complex plot that ran for seven seasons, fans still hoped that the series would have a spinoff. Fortunately, it looks like the fans' prayers have been answered as news about a "PLL spinoff has been released today.

According to Deadline, it has been confirmed that Freeform's biggest series is getting a spinoff with a working title - "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists." Two of the main characters from the series will be joining the spinoff - Alison DiLaurentis and Mona Vanderbilt, played by Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish respectively.

The involvement of Alison and Mona says a lot about the possible plot of the "Pretty Little Liars" spinoff and the fans are already getting busy with their own theories and plot predictions. Fans can expect the same or even more thrill, complexity, and suspense as executive producer Marlene King is still reported to be the one to be in-charge of the spinoff.

'The Perfectionists' - from Rosewood to Beacon Heights

Fans are expecting the same calibre of suspense and mystery in the upcoming "Pretty Little Liars" spinoff, because aside from the fact that Marlene King will be behind the project, the spinoff will also be based on Sara Shepard's book series with the same title. "PLL" has been considered as an important piece in the history of pop culture and has impressively amassed a devoted viewing audience, who was amazingly patient enough to stay around for seven seasons wondering who A really was.

Additionally, Freeform executives also acknowledge the success of the series and the revenue it has brought to the company. In fact, Deadline reported that the EVP of Freeform, Karey Burke, has said that "PLL" was a cultural phenomenon and they were not surprised that the fans wanted more.

New characters, new place

"Pretty Little Liars" fans may have to say goodbye to Rosewood and say hello to new characters who will be joining Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish. "The Perfectionists" will unfold in a new place called Beacon Heights, but is expected to hold as much secrets and lies as Rosewood did.

The title of the spinoff pretty much gives a glimpse on what to expect in Freeform's upcoming series. It revolves around a town where almost everybody seems perfect, but the pressure of trying to be perfect has led someone to commit murder.
