Lizzy Caplan, the "Mean Girls" actress, has finally tied the knot to her partner, Tom Riley, in Italy last Sunday. The news was confirmed by a representative close to Caplan. The celebration was attended by their closest friends and families. The intimate wedding was a private ceremony and was only joined by selected guests.

Husband and wife

The new husband and wife confirmed their engagement back in 2016.

It was six months after when Caplan debuted on the red carpet as an official couple with Riley.

Meanwhile, Riley also took to Instagram and posted a message for his wife. He wrote, "This one seems fertile." He also added that Caplan would be a good wife. Some of their photos were shared online by some of their guests. A black and white photo featured the couple sitting on the ground while seen in all smiles during their wedding.

Seeing Riley's post on Instagram was not the first time for him to write a romantic and hilarious message for his wife. People revealed that back in June, Riley also posted a sweet message for his wife on her birthday.

On the caption, he called Caplan his "forever man-crush Monday" and everyone couldn't help but adore their kind of relationship. Riley also revealed that his wife is a kind of woman who inspires him every time.

Romantic ceremony

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Ravello, Italy. Among the special guests who graced the celebration was James Marsden, the actress' co-star. Everyone was stunned on the wedding venue as it overlooks the scenic Tyrrhenian Sea.

Some of the guests have shared their photos on Instagram on Sunday. Everyone was having a good time as they celebrated the union of the couple. They all laughed hard, dance a lot, and even drank into much of wine all day long.

Their guests were also grateful for witnessing the couple as they promised each other a lifetime of commitment.

Some of the guests were also moved to tears. It was reported by US Weekly that there were about 100 guests who joined the wedding ceremony. Most of them were Hollywood stars and closest friends of both the bride and the groom.

Their wedding got the best floral arrangements from "Prince of Flowers" by Armando Melafronte. Italian wines were also served during the reception and the main menu was prepared by an Italian chef, Crescenzo Scotti, a famous chef from Il Flauto di Pan Restaurant. The couple reportedly wanted a destination wedding and Italy is one of their favorite choices.
