Kim Kardashian and Kanye West seems to be determined to have a big family. Blessed with two kids already - Saint and North - Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's third baby is due in January. According to People, the celebrity couple chose to have their third baby via a surrogate because of Kim's high-risk pregnancy and medical condition. It can be recalled that the reality-star suffered from a medical condition called placenta accreta during her last two pregnancies.
It was a nightmare for Kim and her doctors advised her to look at other pregnancy options, should she want to have another child because it would be too dangerous for her to give birth once again.
After news broke that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have chosen a surrogate to carry their third baby to term, People reported that the surrogate is already pregnant. The baby is expected to be born in January 2018.
Super hands-on mom
According to People, Kim is very hands-on and involved with the pregnancy of the surrogate. She is ensuring that the surrogate stays healthy to avoid any medical complications.
Additionally, Kim has also been providing an ideal eating regimen and diet for the surrogate to ensure that the baby will be safe and healthy.
Hiring a surrogate is a whole new experience for Kim and Kanye. In previous episodes of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," the reality star had expressed her desire to expand her family. However, she was also worried about her her health as doctors have already told her that if she's going to be pregnant again for the third time, her condition with placenta acrreta might get worse, to the point of death. American Pregnancy Org writes that it can result in bleeding and "severe hemorrhaging can be life threatening."
First surrogate but not the last
Kim Kardashian was not initially open to the idea of having a total stranger carry her baby to term.
In fact, she initially toyed with the idea of having Khloe or her mother, Kris, play the role of the surrogate. However, after much convincing and counseling from family, friends and medical professionals, she finally warmed up to the idea of getting a legit surrogate.
This is the first time that Kanye and Kim had a surrogate and if things go smoothly, this might not be their last. Kim mentioned that Kanye wanted to have a big family, like five or six kids, so they might have to get another surrogate in the future.
Taylor Swift is none of their concerns
With all the happy news around them, it looks like Kanye and Kim Kardashian don't really care about Taylor Swift, whose first single from her album, "Reputation," has been dubbed as her revenge song against the couple.
