One of the girls whose life changed after the show premiered in 2007 is Khloe Kardashian. The celebrity reflected on her experiences as well as her regrets from the show. To be precise, there are two scenes in the particular that the 33-year-old Khloe wished that the show never filmed.

Khloe and Kourtney used to run their stores in Calabasas

The youngest Kardashian wrote a personal essay for Glamour where she detailed about her life on TV and how cameras influenced the dynamics of the Kardashian family. In the essay, she wrote that she used to live with her sister Kourtney in a townhouse in Calabasas, California in 2007 and had grown up there. They were managing two stores, Dash and Smooch, which were next to each other in the mall. They used to go there every day, had no employees and used to do everything by themselves including housekeeping, taxes, and inventory. Khloe and Kourtney would take 15 minutes lunch break and eat together.

Their mom Kris and Kim wanted to start the show

She mentioned that at her mom’s house, they used to have big family dinners. Ryan Seacrest thought they were crazy and suggested they should be on TV and their mom and sister, Kim wanted thought it was a good idea, but the two sisters, Khloe and Kourtney were against it and wanted to live their simple lives.

Unfortunately, Ryan said the show would need the whole family, and they had to accept the offer because their mom convinced them that it would market their stores.

Khloe used to do her own makeup

At that time, the family didn’t have glam teams or stylists, Koko would go across the street from her store for $25 blow-dry and also do her own makeup.

She said that she sometimes watched their old episodes and noticed their baby voices and thought it was because they were nervous. She noted that nowadays, the show is different. They film six days a week, 12 to 18 hours per day and when the footage is compiled, it becomes 13 or 14 44-minute episodes. She admitted that there is a lot of drama and some episodes are juicy to the audience but not them.

Khloe’s has a strained relationship with Caitlyn

However, Khloe regrets about allowing the cameras into certain personal moments. She wished that they would have never filmed Kim's robbery or Caitlyn’s transition. She said that it was their lives, and when they don’t shoot some scenes people feel slighted, but when they film too much, they say it wasn't supposed to happen like that.

Khloe had explained that the speed of the transition into Caitlyn left the family with little time to process, and she still has a strained relationship with her stepfather.

Khloe also explained that she didn't feel like Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery should have been filmed. There are so many moments shared by the Kardashians that some things just should be kept private. Just like any other family, when major events affect them, they need time to process them. When filming KUWTK, Khloe says that they had to maintain and move on while cameras were rolling and deal with major events later.
