The all-new "Grey's Anatomy" season 14 is coming this Thursday, September 28, 2017, and everyone is expecting some closure for last season's season finale. After treating fans with a cliffhanger storyline, the new season aims to provide a clear view of what happened prior to the fire incident, Dr. Eliza Minnick's (Marika Dominczyk) firing, and the struggles the doctors have to go through juggling their careers, private lives, and the mission to save lives as doctors at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

"Grey's Anatomy" has provided a sneak peek Season 14, Episode 1, and Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is taking the limelight.

Apparently, the return of Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer) will put a strain on Meredith and Nathan Riggs' (Martin Henderson) relationship. Nathan is still into Megan and he considers calling off his engagement to Meredith.

The aftermath of the fire

Meanwhile, Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is giving instructions to the doctors about last night's fire when some parts of the building fell, a clear sign that the hospital is still not safe. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) is also seen talking to April Kepner (Sarah Drew) about Dr. Bailey firing Dr. Eliza Minnick. The discussion may not have been much, but it shows it will be tackled in the new episode of "Grey's."

Meanwhile, Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Giannotti) is still enthralled with Jo Wilson's (Camilla Luddington) presence.

When Jo approached Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) to inform him that Dr. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) has been airlifted, DeLuca's look was knowingly emotional.

New cast on 'Grey's Anatomy'

The new season of "Grey's Anatomy" highlights the heartbreak that is expected to hit Meredith and Nathan. Arizona, on the other hand, will have to face the reality that Eliza's gone.

Andrew will have to keep his emotions checked as his sister Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) is the order to join Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Also, let's not forget about Dr. Paul Stadler (Matthew Morrison) who plays the husband of Jo Wilson in the series.

All of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 love stories will be tackled in a new way for "Shondaland." Meanwhile, the show's executive producer, Debbie Allen, denied rumors that Sara Ramirez is returning to the show.

The actress, who played the character of Dr. Callie Torres, is the ex-wife of Arizona Robbins. The departure of Dr. Minnick, however, sparked rumors that the former is returning and the show is making way for her return.
