Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are definitely close friends, which could be the reason why they can do almost any sex scenes in the hit TV series, "Outlander."

There is no doubt that the sexual scenes of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe add more success to their tandem and relationship in season 3. Perhaps, this is also one of the reasons why fans continue to believe that they are hiding a secret relationship.

Sex scenes of Balfe, Heughan to watch out for

A review of "Outlander" was written by Refinery 29, which stated that viewers have been waiting for Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe to show some more sexual scenes.

Even Balfe shared her thoughts about their sex scenes in the show's third season. Balfe revealed how excited she was to play the romantic scenes with Heughan, especially with the twists and turns that come with the major time jump.

"It is nice to have the ability to delve into the fantasy of what this relationship would be like," the former "Victoria's Secret" model stated. Balfe admitted how excited she was to show the fans of "Outlander" a new side of romance between Heughan's Jamie and Balfe's Claire.

Balfe also said that Jamie and Claire will be finding out what changed between them and their romance, now that they have surpassed the challenges in their relationship. The couple will be reunited soon and they will be discovering their new personalities once they see each other again.

Fans even stated that sexual intercourse is better when people are in their 40's already. So, maybe viewers will be thrilled if Jamie and Claire would be seen doing a sex scene during the season.

"Anyone who has spent any time away from their partner knows that when you first see each other again in your head, you have played all the scenarios of how perfectly it is all gonna go," she adds.

"Then, somebody says one thing and you are at each other's throats."

Balfe reportedly asked for equal pay

Meanwhile, Digital Spy stated that Balfe is very comfortable in asking for equal pay, as she knows women should be able to feel empowered to ask what they deserve for especially when it comes to hard work. Equal pay for men and women have been a long-standing issue in the world, luckily, women are now fighting for their rights.

"Now, I am in a position where I feel very comfortable speaking up for myself, and I do so," Balfe says.

"Outlander" season 3 stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. It is set to return on the Starz in September.
