Our beloved on-screen couple Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) will soon emerge in our TV screen for another episode of “Outlander” season 3. And producers enlighten the fans – a month before its release – that we are going to see more of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe working together as the show has still a lot to the plot for TV (and if Starz and Sony give the green light).
The show has been honest with its adaptation so far, inciting little changes from here and there, yet we were assured that the two main characters will, in fact, be separated for 20 years, which will be the topic at the beginning of their newest season.
‘Outlander’ spoilers unveiled
In two decades of separation, we will be watching each of the character’s development of their own, in their particular timelines. It would be heartbreaking, especially for Jamie as he will (spoiler!) miss the birth of his child. But in those times apart, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe’s roles will be generating other stories by occasionally remembering each other.
Balfe, who admitted that she does read Diana Gabaldon’s writing in the pace of their shoot, has been assumed – since the beginning of “Outlander” to be dating Heughan. They have been reported to be spending a lot of time on the set.
Heughan continues to spark dating rumors with Balfe and Mauzy
One of those would be Sam Heughan’s Twitter post of them together, having a blast watching a rugby game.
The internet then took it as a sign. But later on, their co-actors and friends helped them clarify the issue. Balfe did debunk the rumors by stating, “This is our job. We are very different in our private life. We are best friends. From the moment we met, we got along. Sam is one of the most generous people you’ll ever meet.
Such a great guy, no ego involved.”
This sparked so many questions since the chemistry between the two is undeniable. Yet it also seems like they are really just friends because Heughan is reported to be dating other women.
This would be then Mackenzie Mauzy who we can recognize in the movie Into the Woods as Rapunzel. Unfortunately, none of the said pair is vocal about their relationship, and fans only find pieces of evidence from social media sites and their rendezvous that strengthens the belief that they might really be dating.
Whatever the case it, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe seem to be in good shape for shooting the 4th (yes!) season of "Outlander." But before that, mark your calendars because "Outlander" will resume on September 20.
