In the previous season of “NCIS,” Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) decided to be left behind in Paraguay to let Nicholas Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and the kids flee away. Now, in the new photo obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the two agents’ fates reside in the hands of the rebels.
From the looks of it, Gibbs and McGee are caught by the insurgents as their hands are both tied while the initial has wounds and blood on his face. With that, there are swirling rumors that the senior operative will sacrifice himself for the safety of the soon-to-be father in “NCIS” Season 15.
Will one of them die or they will escape the rebels?
To recall, the NCIS went to Paraguay to look for the missing SEAL only to find out that the latter was in the mentioned country to do a personal favor.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Timothy McGee, and Nicholas Torres found him trying to escape the terrorists along with a number of children. These kids were said to be undergoing training to become rebels themselves. As things got rough, Gibbs and McGee chose to stay behind to face the mutineers that have been following them to let Torres and the kids flee.
As the story continues in “NCIS” Season 15, they will be captured by the radicals, and things don’t look good for them. Mark Harmon’s role strongly believes that his NCIS team will find them after two months of being away.
Fans can evidently see the anger in his eyes, while it looks like McGee is ready to surrender and follow their commands. There are swirling rumors that Gibbs is going to sacrifice himself for the safety of McGee, Christian Post reported. Knowing that Sean Murray’s character has a pregnant wife waiting for him, Gibbs knows that his partner has to go home.
If they are lucky enough, they might be given a chance to escape, but it will be very risky for the two.
DiNozzo’s possible return
Meanwhile, there is emerging news that Michael Weatherly will be back in “NCIS” Season 15 to reprise his role as NCIS Senior Special Agent Tony DiNozzo.
To recall, he left the police procedural television show in 2016 after 13 seasons.
He then confirmed the news on his Twitter page to officially bid his final goodbye to his fans. Now, in an interview with Digital Spy in June, the 49-year-old actor revealed the possibility of his return.
Weatherly told the publication that he would “never say never” about coming back in the television series. "I absolutely see worlds where DiNozzo and other characters could pop up [again],” he said. “It is something I’m very keen to explore when the timing is right.”
