Justin Bieber canceled the remaining dates of his Purpose World Tour and didn't offer an explanation at the time detailing his decision. However, in his latest Open Letter posted on his Instagram account, the singer told his fans he really needed the time off.
The 23-year-old “Sorry” singer started his letter by saying that he is grateful for this journey he had with all of his fans.
He also noted that he is grateful for the tours and “grateful I get to go through this life WITH YOU!”
On insecurities, broken relationships
Bieber added in his open letter that learning and growing has not always been easy but knowing that other people are there to support him kept him going. He also admitted that he let his insecurities get the best of him and let his broken relationships dictate the way he acted towards other people. He did not drop names as to who he had these broken relationships with.
On top of that, Bieber acknowledged he let bitterness, jealousy, and fear run his life.
On people who guided him
The “Love Yourself” singer also gave a shout out to the people who have been there with him in the past years who helped him build his character “back up” when he strayed from his way. He has been in the negative light in the past years due to his attitude and his run-ins with the law but these people, who were not named by Bieber, also reminded him that his past decisions and relationships do not dictate his future.
On what he will no longer do and what the tour did for him
Bieber seemingly admitted that he was ashamed of his mistakes before as he said in his letter that he will no longer do that. People reported that he now wants to be a man who learns and grows from his mistakes.
Aside from that, Bieber told his fans that his Purpose World Tour has taught him a lot about himself because he was reminded that he is a very blessed person to have such a voice in this world. The singer also said that the more one appreciates his or her calling, the more he or she wants to protect his or her calling.
He went on to explain that he had to take a break from touring and cancel the remaining dates because taking his time for himself means that he wants to be sustainable. He not only wants his career to be sustainable but also his heart, mind, and soul so that he can be the man he wants to be. Bieber also revealed to his fans that if he achieves the man he wants to be, he will be able to be the husband and father he wants to be.
Bieber canceled his tour in July after his representatives took to his Facebook account to say that they had to stop the tour altogether due to unforeseen circumstances. There were 14 remaining tour dates from his scheduled 150-date Purpose World Tour, Time reported.
