Justin Bieber, the 23-year-old superstar, just recently devastated thousands of fans by cancelling the last 14 shows of his "Purpose World Tour." There was much speculation surrounding the reason for him cancelling the final shows and on Wednesday he finally broke the silence with a letter to his fans. Bieber took to social media to explain his reasons for cancelling the tour and to apologize to his fans. He promised that he would be back on tour again one day, and that he would make up for the missed shows.

The 'Purpose World Tour'

Justin Bieber's "Purpose World Tour" was the singer's third worldwide tour.

The tour was in honor of his single, "Purpose," released in 2015. The tour started in March 2016 and continued until Bieber abruptly ended it in July 2017. The 23-year-old Canadian singer had planned to complete 149 shows in cities all over the world. Some of the countries included were the United States, the United Kingdom, South America, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, to name a few.

Bieber's explanation

After speculation by fans and media worldwide, Bieber broke the silence. He spoke out on social media this Wednesday with a letter of sorts to his fans. The letter was littered with grammar and spelling errors but the fans are content, nonetheless. And Bieber claimed that he knew the errors were there but that there is a certain beauty in imperfections.

Bieber started off by thanking his fans for all their support. He got personal quickly, explaining that he is often governed by broken relationships and insecurities. However, he added that he has been "extremely blessed to have people in the past few years help me build my character back up reminding me of who I am and who I want to be!!!"

Looking forward the singer wrote, "I wanna be a man that learns from them [his mistakes] and grows from them." He explained that he needs to take some time off now, even though the tour was an incredible experience.

While he admitted that the tour taught him a lot and helped him grow, he also wrote that he needs time off to ensure that he will be sustainable. In a touching statement, he added that he wants to be sustainable, not only in his career but in his life in general. He ended the note by writing that the reason for his cancelling the tour was: "So that I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be."

Few can fault the man for such noble aspirations. The Beliebers would definitely not find any fault in a statement such as this.
