At some point, we knew this was going to happen. When two prominent characters of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finally meet, something is bound to occur. One might romantically connect with the other or discover that they are closely related. For Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, both might be applicable.
For starters, Kit Harington’s character, Jon Snow label as the Bastard of Ned Stark begins to lose its meaning since it was seen during Bran’s vision, in “Game of Thrones” Season 6, that Snow is still a Stark but not from Eddard’s other woman, but his sister, Lyanna.
Sometime around his birth, the drama was stirring between his mother and crown prince Rhaegar Targaryen, Khaleesi’s other older brother.
What happens to Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen?
Despite having their partners in hand, there were vague claims from the series where they were thought of having an affair, or that Lyanna was abducted by Rhaegar while Robert Baratheon is still the man decided for her to marry. This sparked a rebellion, the death of Rhaegar under Robert’s sword, and then Jon’s birth.
To summarize it all, we may be looking at an aunt and nephew story that may fall into complicated terms since no one seems to inform them about the possibility of their family ties.
(We are talking to you Bran.)
It was also said before that one of them could potentially be Azor Ahai, but if Jamie Lannister ends up to be the legendary figure, it might lessen the tension between the two.
A recap of ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7, Episode 5
In the latest episode, we have learned the Dany could be very ruthless when it comes to those who ask for it.
And while Tyrion does give his support to the Mother of Dragons, it is obvious that he starts to understand that the repercussion of Khaleesi’s actions might be darker than what he thought it would be.
Finally, Jon meets one of Dany’s dragons, Drogon, which sparked interest to many since he had an easy connection with the fire breathing child, which serves as a sign of family lineage between Dany and Jon.
And while the story is brewing at its finest, another Joffrey might come into the picture if Cercei’s future child will become like her previous son.
Jamie hears about his sister/lover’s pregnancy naming him as the father.
We are down to 5 more episodes on Game of Thrones, and while we wait for the mother of Dragons to receive information about her relationship to Jon Snow, it is possible they would trigger a romance sometime before the season ends.
Stay tuned for more “Game of Thrones” Season 7, Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington updates.
