The war against the horde of Dothraki and a Dragon obviously didn’t go well with Jaime and Bronn in the latest episode of the seventh season of Game of Thrones. The war was an unexpected but a welcome surprise on the fourth episode of the current season. And while we’re still holding our breath about the fate of the one-handed kingslayer, HBO has already released the preview for the next week’s episode, “Blood of the Dragon.”

‘Blood of the Dragon’ preview

The trailer starts with the aftermath of the war. We see Daenerys Targaryen address the remaining soldiers of the Lannister army, telling them that she’s not there to murder them.

However, she also gives them a choice whether to bend their knee or refuse and die. While all these happen, we see a frowning Tyrion, clearly disappointed to hear his queen forcing people into submission.

Then, we see Varys and Tyrion who appears to be discussing what to do with the Mother of Dragons’ growing brashness. Varys tells Tyrion that they had to find a way to make her listen. With Dany’s reckless actions so far, their concern is pretty understandable. As what Jon Snow said in the last episode, burning villages and melting castles with three large dragons isn’t really a great way to win the heart of people.

It seems that Cersei has finally received the news regarding Jaime’s defeat. However, she still looks pretty confident about her position.

Then, back to the Dragonstone, we see Jon Snow discuss the latest update regarding the Night King. He says that Bran saw the army of the dead marching towards Eastwatch. It appears that Jon has finally received the news of Bran’s return to Winterfell. The preview closes with Davos stating that bad things are coming. You can check out the preview below.

Queen’s arrogance and Tyrion’s dilemma

Dany’s character is taking an unexpected turn this season. As we have seen of her so far, it appears that she’s slowly getting more tyrannous with each failure. Tyrion appears to be not taking this problem too well as her adviser and current Hand of the Queen. The problem is getting worse because of his ties with Cersei and Jaime Lannister.

The failure of his previous plans became Dany’s reason to doubt his loyalty, ending up with her not listening to his counsels anymore.

Meanwhile, it seems that we’re finally going to get a glimpse Beyond the Wall again next week based on this preview. And regarding Jon, it would be interesting to see how he reacted after he received the news about Bran’s return to Winterfell.
