Chris Brown opened up about what happened between him and Rihanna in his latest documentary, "Welcome to My Life," which was initially released in June. In the film, the "Look At Me Now" artist recalled what fueled their argument that led to a physical altercation.

The 28-year-old rapper said their relationship "turned sour" when he admitted his involvement with a woman he has worked with in the past. He added that Rihanna has lost her trust in him after the revelation, which eventually led to verbal and physical fights.

"I still love Rihanna, but I'm just going to be honest—we would fight each other," he said, according to E! News. "She would hit me, I would hit her, but it never was okay."

Chris Brown went on to reveal that he and Rihanna came across the woman he was involved with at the Grammy Awards in 2009. In fact, the woman even greeted both of them, which apparently did not please the Barbadian Babe. "I look over at Rihanna and she's bawling, she's crying," he recalled.

He added that a confrontation took place before things got out of hand and became violent. The "Kiss Kiss" rapper claimed Rihanna tried to kick him before he punched her with a closed fist and busted her lip. Chris Brown, however, said he was shocked when he saw the blood on his girlfriend's face.

"From there she's spitting blood in my face, it raised me even more. It's a real fight in the car and we were driving in the street," the rapper continued.

He stated that the "We Found Love" singer tried to snatch his phone to throw it out the window. After the physical altercation, Chris Brown acknowledged his mistake and "felt like a f**king monster" for hurting his girlfriend.

Despite what happened in their relationship, Rihanna still considered Chris Brown to be the love of her life according to what she said in her 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Barbadian Babe believed the rapper loved her the way she loved him. In fact, Rihanna admitted that she had to pretend like she did not care about her ex-boyfriend's new relationship after their separation.

"My stomach drops and I have to maintain this poker face and not let it get to the outer part of me," she confessed.

The female singer, however, said that the most important thing for her at that time was to see Chris Brown happy with his new-found love. "I'm not at peace if he's not happy or he's still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds that peace," she added.

Chris Brown and Rihanna reportedly rekindled their romance in 2013 but eventually called it quits for good.
