Well, we knew it was coming and now, the Ball family Reality Series is almost here The new Facebook produced reality series featuring the polarizing LaVar Ball and his basketball playing family has a name and a premiere date.
According to a new press release, the upcoming reality series will be called "Ball In The Family," a fun play on the classic comedy "All In The Family." The LaVar Ball-led reality show will debut on Facebook's Watch on Thursday, August 31.
The Ball Family
The newest reality show is set to follow around the Ball brothers as they prepare for their respective basketball seasons. As most fans already know, Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers and will soon be starting his rookie season.
LiAngelo Ball is following in his big brother's footsteps. He will be playing for UCLA this year as a shooting guard. Meanwhile, the youngest of the Ball brothers already has fans talking about his future NBA run. LaMelo still has many years to go since the 16-year old high school basketball star is currently the star point guard for Chino Hills High School.
"Ball In The Family" is meant to allow fans to get an inside view into the lives of this highly publicized basketball family. Considering LaVar's huge personality and his penchant for saying things that will have you snap your head around to hear them again, this show might be a success before it even airs one episode.
The upcoming reality series about the Balls is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, the same group that makes MTV's "The Real World" as well as "Born This Way" on A&E.
“We are thrilled to work with the Ball family to share their remarkable story at a pivotal moment in their lives,” said Gil Goldschein, Chairman and CEO Bunim/Murray Productions.
Facebook Watch
Facebook users have been able to post videos to the social media platform, whether they be live or prerecorded, for quite some time.
Now, Facebook is debuting their new feature called Watch at the same time they premiere "Ball In The Family." The new service is a little bit different because it will feature episodic content such as the Ball family reality series.
There will be more sports content available on Watch, including MLB Live, content from the World Surf League, and a new show from Whistle Sports called "Showdowns."
"Ball In The Family" premieres on Facebook Watch on August 31. The first two episodes of the series will be available with more weekly episodes coming available in the future.
