Jana Duggar is the eldest daughter of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar. The family is pro-marriage. In fact, a number of the “19 Kids and Counting” members have already walked down the aisle, but Jana remains single. Could it be that she’s been given so much responsibility that she couldn't pursue what she wants in life?
Jana has been raising Josh’s children
For those following the Duggar Family, we know that Jana has always been in the background. She has been a bridesmaid to her three younger sisters Jill Duggar-Dillard, Jessa Duggar-Seewald and Jinger Duggar-Vuolo but never a bride.
She’s the extra hand of the family in all occasions. She does everything from managing the household to teaching her siblings. That's not all -- she also extends her service to her married brother and sisters.
In fact, during the wake of Josh Duggar’s infidelity scandal, Jana was there for his kids and wife. Anna even said she hopes her sister-in-law will not get married anytime soon as she will miss her support. It looks like Jana is still very much hands-on with her nieces and nephews from brother, Josh.
According to InTouch Weekly, Jana is raising Josh and Anna Duggar’s kids. The mom-of-four is pregnant again and many assumed that Jana is taking care of Anna too. In fact, she has reportedly been there from day 1 moving forward.
Jana helps with diapers, feeding the kids and anything that needs to be done at home.
While some are happy with Jana's dedication to her family, others are sad for the eldest lady member of the "19 Kids and Counting" clan. Her younger brothers and sisters are already starting their own families while she's left at home to tend Josh's family or take over Jim Bob and Michelle's duties to their younger children.
Jim Bob slammed over a Facebook post
In July, the Duggar patriarch shared a photo on Facebook featuring Jana teaching little kids to bake pizza. However, the "Counting On" fans' tempers flared when they saw Jana surrounded with children that are not hers.
Many took a jab against Michelle for delegating too much work to her eldest daughter.
The Duggar followers knew that too much load has been placed on Jana’s shoulder. Aside from looking after Josh and Anna Duggar’s kids, Jana also takes care of Jill and Jessa’s children whenever they are around.
It seemed that everyone has been dependent on Jana Duggar. So, the family can’t imagine her pursuing her own life and leaving the Duggar household to start her own family.
