Billy Brown and his kids have left their home in the Alaskan wilderness to be with their mom Ami Brown as she receives treatment for her stage 3B lung cancer in California. This move has been documented in their hit reality-docu show "Alaskan Bush People" Season 7.
Goodbye, Browntown, hello, swanky L.A. mansion?
While in California, the Browns stayed at a rented house in Los Angeles, near Ami's hospital. Fans may be surprised to learn that their new place is a far cry from Browntown. Radar Online obtained photos of this L.A. house, which is described as a "multi-million dollar mansion."
Their new house has the same rustic appeal that the Browns are known for but inside, it has all the modern amenities that Billy and his family have publicly shunned all their lives.
It even has an outdoor jacuzzi! According to the report, the 2,000-square-foot property has five bedrooms--big enough for Billy, Ami, their seven kids, and even the film crew.
However, the family may have already moved out of this decked-out residence. There were photos posted by fans on social media showing that Billy and his family are now in Colorado.
Latest updates on Ami Brown's cancer battle
In the most recent episode of "Alaskan Bush People," it was revealed that Ami had to undergo six weeks of radiation and then chemotherapy to fight for her life. Now weighing only 95 pounds, Ami's frail physique worried her doctors. They warned her that if she lost five more pounds, they would have to put her on a feeding tube.
This scene was filmed in advance, maybe two to three months ago, and there is no new update as to how Ami has responded to her treatment.
Meanwhile, "Alaskan Bush People" Season 7 took a short two-week hiatus to give way for Discovery's "Shark Week" and "Naked and Afraid" specials. It resumes with an all-new episode on Wednesday.
The episode, entitled "Bush Code," will show the Brown children make a "critical decision" as they say goodbye to Browntown for good. Below is the official synopsis from Discovery Channel:
“The Brown children face a critical decision as they part ways with the family’s Alaskan homestead, while Ami braces for her upcoming cancer treatments in California, the wolf pack finds new ways to keep spirits high.”
The remaining episodes of the current season will likely focus more on Ami's cancer battle. "Alaskan Bush People" Season 7 airs every Wednesday, 9 PM. on Discovery.
