"How to Get Away With Murder" is a very popular crime series. It was created by Peter Nowalk and produced by Shonda Rimes. The series saw its premiere of season 1 back in 2014 and since then it has gained a steady following. The series follows Professor Annalise Keating and five of her specially selected law students. The characters of the show get caught up in murder and from there on the plot develops. Season 4 of the show will pick up where season three ended. The Keating four, as they are called after the subsequent death of Wes, have drifted.

Annalise to suffer another breakdown

Since the beginning of "How to Get Away with Murder," the character of Annalise Keating certainly has not had it easy. The first season surrounded the murder of her husband and season three saw the death of her surrogate son Wes. according to Gold Derby, the professor is to suffer a major breakdown at an AA meeting over her student's death. Annalise breaks down in tears in front of the strangers and admits that she is an alcoholic. She also divulges to the group that she recently lost one of her students who she had known since she was a child.

Viola Davis has chosen this episode titled "Wes" as her entry for her Emmy submission. This submission is for the category of Best Drama Actress. Davis succeeded in gaining this award in both 2014 and 2015 but unfortunately lost out to fellow actor Tatiana Maslany. However, Maslany is unable to enter this year and Davis feels confident that she will win the award for the third time.

Davis will be competing against such actors as Claire Foy, Evan Rachel Wood, and Keri Russell.

A face from the past to haunt Annalise

According to THR, it has been confirmed that actor Jimmy Smits will be joining the cast for the fourth season of "How to Get Away with Murder." The actor was not originally joining the cast, however, when the two projects the actor had been working on fell through he became available for the role.

Smits will be playing a character from Analise's past. He will have a key role in the life of the law professor and it has been stated that he will play a major role in the upcoming season. There has been no further comment about the exact role Smits will be playing on the show.

"How to Get Away with Murder" is due to return this fall on ABC. Fans of the show will get to see the real truth behind the death of Wesley Gibbons.
