"General Hospital" spoilers for Wednesday, July 19 promise that Spencer Cassadine's (Nicolas Bechtel) kidnap drama is in high gear. By now, everyone knows he's missing and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) is certain Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) snatched the kid. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) questions Valentin.

Valentin a red herring - not the kidnapper

The new "GH" promo for the kidnapping promises a stunning twist so it's unlikely Valentin is the kidnapper, but he's been shown making threats lately so he'll be a fitting red herring.

Dante asks Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) if he can speak to her Papa alone and grills him on Spencer's timely disappearance. We can expect passionate denials.

"General Hospital" spoiler show that Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) is there at the MetroCourt when Dante corners Valentin and that means Laura can't be far away. Given Spencer's lawsuit against his uncle and Laura's argument with Valentin, he's the likeliest suspect but this might be a mob-related kidnapping just as easily as it could be a Cassadine caper.

Nathan makes a call

Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) makes a call about Spencer as well, but whose digits did he dial?

Perhaps it's Ava Jerome (Maura West) since Spencer visited her recently at "GH." Other "General Hospital" spoilers tease it might be Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) that he's calling since she's Cassadine adjacent. But Nathan's not the only family member Nina hears from today.

Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is hell bent on getting revenge on Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) and pays a call on her niece Nina on Wednesday's "GH" but how can Nina help Dr. O? Nina is stunned that her aunt is at Crimson asking for a favor since they're not particular fans of one another. This should be interesting.

Finn and Hayden confront issues

Over at "GH", spoilers say Finn is outraged that another drug test came back positive.

Finn tells Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) that there's no way he popped positive on the drug test. He's clean. Finn and Hayden talk about their future but unless they can deal with this crisis at work, their options might be limited.

Don't forget that Rebecca Budig's last days are coming soon so keep an eye out for the end to her character's time on "GH" and plot twists that will see her exiting the soap, still pregnant with Finn's child, but without the sexy doc leaving with her. The latest "General Hospital" spoilers predict Michael Easton is sticking around, so this should be interesting.

Julian needs help

On the Wednesday "GH", Julian Jerome (William deVry) asks Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to be his witness in court.

She knows he did what he did with Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) to protect the family, but Alexis can't forget that he put a knife to her throat. On the flip side, Alexis doesn't want him in jail for life, so she's conflicted.

The big action today is the kidnap drama when Laura asks Kevin for help, but later in the week, Laura goes to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and ask him to make Valentin an offer he can't refuse if he doesn't hand over the kid. Laura and Sonny will be certain Valenti is the perp since he tried to snatch Spencer last summer, too.

30 second recap of Tuesday's "GH"

Spencer got tossed in a basement and couldn't get out. Carly was cruel to Ava at Morgan's grave. Curtis dumped Jordan in favor of Aunt Stella's needs.

Laura got a call to alert her to Spencer's absence from camp and began to panic. By the end of the episode, she knew he was missing. Ava went home and unveiled her face to see the damage. She was horrified.

Sonny and Carly agreed to put Ava out of their minds and focus on the future but Carly was annoyed when he got a call about mob business. Laura and Valentin argued in the park and when he trash talked Nikolas and Spencer, she slapped him. Valentin revealed he won a temporary custody order and took Charlotte for ice cream at the MetroCourt.
