Ryan Edwards has reportedly entered rehab. Following several reports of drug use in recent weeks both on "Teen Mom OG" and off, the longtime reality star and dad of eight-year-old Bentley Edwards is believed to be seeking treatment for substance abuse.
Edwards was first accused of being on drugs at the end of last year when his suspicious behavior and bug-eyed appearance became concerning to fans. Then, when the second half of the sixth season of "Teen Mom OG" began airing on MTV earlier this year, Edwards was once again caught in the midst of a drug scandal when his former girlfriend admitted his alleged struggles to her co-stars, including Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood.
Maci Bookout told her 'Teen Mom OG' co-stars that she feared Ryan Edwards would overdose
During an episode of the MTV reality series last month, Bookout told Lowell and Portwood that she was extremely concerned for her son's father and also told her husband, Taylor McKinney, that she feared for his life. Bookout even said that she would be confronting Edwards about the possibility of going to rehab once she returned to The States from Puerto Rico.
In addition to voicing her concerns for Edwards, Bookout also told her co-stars that she was worried about the people around Edwards. As she explained, everyone was reportedly in denial about his struggles. Among those around Edwards are his parents, Larry and Jen Edwards, and his fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer, who he proposed to at the end of last year after dating for just months.

Although fans had no idea that Edwards reportedly entered rehab last month, E! News told readers on June 3 that the reality dad had checked into rehab two weeks ago and said that he was "doing well" at the unnamed facility.
"Honestly, the hardest thing is for me to see [Ryan Edwards] not love himself because he is a person worth loving," Bookout said of her ex-boyfriend last month.
"He deserves to love himself."
While it is unclear whether or not it was Bookout who promoted Edwards' visit to rehab, she could have played a role in his decision. After all, despite their failed relationship, Bookout and Edwards share a child and both want the absolute best for Bentley.
