Hey, "Scorpion" peeps. We do have some very great news for you guys who were still wondering if your favorite show is getting a season 4. According to TV Line's renewal report card post, the show has officially been renewed by CBS. Another source said that the renewal actually happened in early March 2017, so CBS was quick to lock it in for the new season.

Initial spoiler teasers

This great news, of course, means that you guys can expect to see brand new spoilers, cast interviews, promo pics, and clips in the coming months. Currently, there have been no early season 4 teasers released by anyone. However, we expect that to quickly change after tonight's season 3 finale episode airs.

More dynamic plot

Starzpost said that it's highly likely that we should expect to see a more dynamic plot and unexpected twists for Walter and Paige now that their relationship has been made official.

Currently, there is no information about how many episodes the new season will have, or when it will premiere.

Season 3 got a whopping 25 episode order from the network. It's doubtful that they'll get that many for season 4, given the slight ratings drop that the current season has incurred. Expect to find out sometime in late June or early July 2017.

Ratings drop

Getting back to that ratings drop, we do have some more info on that. Apparently, the season started out with a 1.54 rating for the 18-49 demographic, which was already down a negative 67 percent from season 2. The premiere also drew in 8.2 million viewers, which was down a negative 54 percent from the season 2 finale episode. Since then, the ratings have continued to drop, but overall numbers are still pretty strong.

The last report we've got is for episode 24, which had a 1.10 demo rating, along with 7.5 million viewers.

That demo was actually up from some of the previous episodes that dipped down as low as the 1.00 rating range. Hopefully this decline doesn't continue on into season 4. If it does, that could put a potential season 5 in jeopardy. Stay tuned.
