Today the shocking news came out that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell were over. The couple has moved on and won't be getting married after finding love on "The Bachelor." They met on television and even went on to have their own reality television show, but they were not able to make it through their issues. Now, a source is saying that they know what happened and why the couple is over.

Source reveals what went down

A source close to the couple says that this split was coming for a bit and went on to say "They weren’t seeing eye-to-eye on too many things and were arguing about everything lately." It sounds like ben and Lauren were not doing very well.

On their show "Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?" they shared that they had called off the wedding, but they were still together. They had plans to eventually tie the knot and were not just rushing it.

The source went on to explain more saying that part of the issue is that she was spending time with her friends instead of him. Lauren went to the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, California, at the end of April without her fiance. Lauren was constantly posting on social networks about the trip. It sounds like this didn't go very well. The source said Ben got upset about her spending so much time with her friends instead of him. Ben did share a picture with Lauren since then, but it sounds like that event was a big part of their recent issues.

The last time Lauren posted a picture of Ben was in April for Easer.

Ben and Lauren's joint statement

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell gave out a joint statement today saying they have split but didn't share a lot of details with the fans. They said that they will remain friends and wish nothing but the best for each other, but you never know what is really going on.

The fans would love to hear more from them, but it sounds like this is all they are going to say. One thing is this leaves Ben and Lauren both single in time for the new season of "Bachelor in Paradise." They may not join, but everyone is curious if at least one of them could end up showing up on this season of the show that will air this summer on ABC.
