Life has come full circle for Glennon Doyle Melton. After surviving drugs, alcohol, anorexia and adultery, the popular Christian mommy blogger preached on happy parenting and marriage after cheating, but now the "Love Warrior" author is singing a different tune of lesbian love, divorce, and gay activism. What changed the evangelical Christian's mind? Doyle-Melton saw soccer star Abby Wambach, fell in love on sight and is now Mrs. Doyle-Wambach.

Fans delight at Christian blogger's LGBT conversion

Glennon Doyle Melton is nothing if not contradictory.

A born-again Christian born Catholic, recovering alcoholic and drug addict, eating disorder survivor, motivational speaker on marriage after adultery, a pro-life mommy blogger who abortion and a pro-marriage divorcee, and now a religious fundamentalist turned gay rights activist. Doyle-Wambach has chronicled her wins, fails and controversial life choices openly. And that is what endeared fans, including Oprah Winfrey, to her. But is she a hypocrite? Supporters say marriage to a lesbian lover is just her next stage, like Elizabeth Gilbert of "Eat Pray Love." But the hypocrisy smacks a little bit of Josh Duggar.

Critics fault Glennon Doyle Melton's divorce

It's not so much the swapping of her heterosexual life to take the less-traveled LGBT path that bothers critics.

It's Doyle-Melton's complete about-face on marriage and family. After husband Craig Melton's infidelity, the couple rediscovered love or, maybe more accurately, fell in love for the first time. Craig and Glennon met, got pregnant and had the abortion while both were still drinking and drugging and she was in the throes of anorexia and a prescription antidepressant addiction.

They wanted to tell others how to find relationship renewal after adultery. And the "Momastry" blogger came across, like so many Christians do, as preaching marriage salvation at all costs.

Melton, Doyle, Wambach one happy threesome

Glennon Doyle Melton's marriage to Abby Wambach, of course, necessitated a divorce from Craig Melton.

He's very cool about his ex-wife. But her Facebook following isn't. Many railed at the "Love Warrior" for not practicing what she preaches. Melton always seems to land on her feet, and it makes her actions look right, no matter that they completely contradict her words. When she chose to stay with her husband after his cheating, that was the correct choice for Glennon and everyone else. Now, falling in love after one look and quitting the marriage is right for everyone because it's right for Glennon. The concern is her lemming-like followers who emulate Doyle-Wambach's every move. The homosexuality isn't the issue but the fact that the former Mrs. Melton-Doyle can't seem to lose for winning and still looks good doing it. The hypocrisy smacks a little bit of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
