Ami Brown, the matriarch of the "Alaskan Bush People" is sick, according to what her estranged brother has to say. Les Branson, who claims his sister Ami abandoned their family after marrying Billy Brown, has been told by friends his sister is battling cancer. Ami is the wife of the patriarch of the "Alaskan Bush People," who Les describes as being very controlling of his sister.
Friends have told Les that Ami is suffering from cancer and in the offseason of the "Alaskan Bush People," Ami is in a Los Angeles hospital undergoing treatment for this cancer.
Les plans to call every hospital in the L.A. area until he finds out which one is treating his sister.
Painful spine condition
Fans of the "Alaskan Bush People" show knew that Ami had suffered from a painful spine condition, which is something that she disclosed during an interview some time ago. Ami told RadarOnline that she suffered from nerve damage in her spine from a disease called cervical radiculitis.
Cancer?
As far as this new diagnosis of cancer that Les has shared, this is still considered a rumor as there is no official word from the Brown Family or the Discovery Channel, which airs their show. Les said he had not told their mother about Ami's rumored condition because he wants to make sure it is true before alarming their 84-year-old mother, who has not seen Ami in over 30 years.
Hospital calls
You would think that Les would call the area hospitals before reporting this news to RadarOnline. Now that he has and it is making the headlines, his mother is bound to get wind of it as well. Ami's brother has said in the past how Ami was taken away from her family by Billy Brown and they don't have contact with her because they claim Billy is so controlling and standing in the way of this.
According to the Inquisitr, the "Alaskan Bush People" are now between seasons and rumors are once again swirling that the show has been canceled due to the outrage over the show being fake. This rumor has followed them through many seasons, but they keep coming back.
Romance in Browntown
The last season highlighted the romances of Bam and Noah Brown.
Bam is courting one of the producers of the show, Alison Kagan, and Noah is in a romance with Rhain Alicia. If and when the show does return, the interest in these two romances is enough to bring back the fans.
As far as Ami and her reported cancer diagnosis, there is nothing official and it does seem a bit odd that her estranged brother would be the one reporting this.
