Highlights and plot of the last episode

The last chapter saw Marcel (C.M. Davis) choose to spare the Mikaelson family, but unfortunately, a new evil has arrived in New Orleans and it's targeting children. According to spoiler reports, the upcoming episode 3 will have Vincent (Y. Gatewood) telling Marcel about a mysterious force causing trouble in New Orleans. However, Marcel will take the information lightly as he believes that there is nothing to worry about. Siver Times opines, though, that based on the images showing children with white eyes, there must be really something to worry about. Elijah (D. Gillies) will mediate a conflict between Hayley and Freya (R. Voelkel) to determine the best way to protect the family.

Aside from Hope, Klaus wants to rebuild his relationship with Caroline, especially now that both their lovers from their home series have left them. Unfortunately, Tv series producer Julie Plec confirmed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that there will be no reconciliation for Caroline and Klaus.
