In the return of “Shadowhunters” Season 2, Jace Wayland (Dominic Sherwood) and Simon Lewis (Alberto Rosende) will be in a battle to fight for Clary Fray’s (Katherine McNamara) heart. However, it looks like things are getting more complicated with the coming of a new character.

Will Tudor is set to appear in the second half season of the fantasy television series based on Cassandra Clare’s “The Mortal Instruments.” The 30-year-old actor will be playing the role of Sebastian Verlac.

Sebastian’s arrival

The show’s showrunner Todd Slavkin told Entertainment Weekly that the coming of Sebastian in “Shadowhunters” Season 2 is “awesome.” He proudly said that Tudor is an incredible actor and fans will see the show at the level that they have never seen before. In fact, his character is set to bring difficulties to the relationship of the many.

The character of the “Game of Thrones” actor is known to be the big bad of the show’s book version. Hence, he will be playing a vital role as the television series’ story goes on. To recall, TVLine reported the arrival of Tudor in the program in January.

However, his portrayal of his character will be entirely different from the original novel.

On the contrary to “The Mortal Instruments,” Sebastian doesn’t come from the Shadowhunter’s Paris Institute. In a different interview, Slavkin told TVLine that when he started filming, Tudor had an American accent that made him more interesting. However, when they saw his reel from “Game of Thrones” and “Humans,” they knew that he was from London; thus they wanted him to use his British accent. And it, indeed, compliments his character in the show.

The second half’s continuation

Moreover, aside from the tension between Clary, Simon, and Jace, the new promo of “Shadowhunters” Season 2 also teased hazardous shot of Jace getting answers from Valentine Morgenstern (Alan Van Sprang) and Magnus Bane (Harry Shum Jr.) getting his drink as usual.

To recall, the first half of the television series left some cliffhangers as Valentine managed to activate the Soul Sword. He had used to kill a lot of Downloaders, but he ended being seized by Jace. Fortunately, Clary controlled and deactivated the said weapon, although it fell into the hands of a mysterious person believed to be Sebastian.

The continuation of “Shadowhunters” Season 2 will exactly pick-up where episode 10 ended. Here, the Downloaders and Shadowhunters alike will find themselves in a dangerous situation with the coming of Sebastian. The half season will be starting to air on June 5 on Freeform.
