Fans of "The Bachelor" were shocked today to hear the news that Chris Soules was arrested for leaving the scene of a deadly accident. Now more information is coming out about this accident. Chris did spend the night behind bars before being bonded out on a $10,000 bond. Chris was on "The Bachelorette" and then found love on "The Bachelor" with Whitney Bischoff, but they were not able to make their relationship last.

If Chris has dated since their split, he hasn't shared who the lucky girl in his life is and has kept her out of the spotlight.

What went down with Chris Soules after the wreck?

Chris Soules was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal car crash after the truck he was driving ran into a tractor, leaving the man in the tractor dead. Court documents confirm that Chris was allegedly in possession of alcoholic beverages and containers. Iowa State Patrol said that Chris allegedly left the scene after the accident that happened about fifteen minutes away from his farm. Both the truck and the tractor ended up in the ditch.

Police later found Chris Soules truck at his home and Chris was inside the house. For some reason, he refused to come out and talk to police. They actually ended up getting a Search Warrant before being able to talk to Chris about the accident. It actually took the police several hours to get the search warrant.

In court today it was revealed that at no point Chris Soules came out of the house to speak to police. He made them get the search warrant and wouldn't talk to them until they did that and were able to come into the home. The police did try to get in touch with him, but Chris allegedly wouldn't cooperate with them. So far, he isn't sharing why he didn't want to talk to the police and why it took hours for them to be able to interview him.

At this time, Chris Soules isn't saying anything at all. A statement was issued from him, but it only said, "Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home. He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away. His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family."

There were rumors flying that Chris Soules would be part of "Bachelor in Paradise," but because of this case Chris had to turn in his passport. It doesn't look like this will be happening for him.
