"The Bachelor" star Chris Soules has been arrested. The former ABC leading man is currently in police custody after he allegedly hit the back of a tractor trailer, which killed the driver. Soules reportedly fled the scene after the accident, TMZ reports. According to the report, the accident happened on Monday night in Iowa. Chris was reportedly driving a Chevy pickup truck when he rear ended a John Deere tractor trailer, sending the tractor into a nearby ditch. The driver was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, but it was too late. He was pronounced dead at the medical facility.

Chris was booked on the charge of leaving the scene of a death, but was not charged with driving under the influence. Chris, who was unlucky in love following his stint as ABC's "The Bachelor." The Iowa farmer had admitted that he's had trouble in the past meeting women to ask on dates, telling People Magazine, "It’s been really, still hard. I feel like I’m saying this all the time, but you watch the show, and you watch the reason that I went on the show, because I live in the middle of nowhere, and there’s not a lot of women, so it’s hard to date."

Most recently, Chris Soules was thought to be locked in to appear on the next season of ABC's "Bachelor In Paradise."
