Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed earlier this week that ABC producer Mike Fleiss had informed her that she was not allowed to appear on "Dancing With the Stars" after being featured on the 11th season of "The Bachelorette." In a tweet to her fans, which was in response to Whitney Bischoff saying that she'd like to see Bristowe on the series, the fiancee of Shawn Booth said she had been offered a contract to appear on "Dancing With the Stars" but couldn't move forward with the opportunity because Fleiss said she "wasn't allowed."
A short time after Bristowe revealed the surprising news, which came amid rumors of "Bachelor" Nick Viall's potential appearance on the show, which has since been confirmed, Fleiss fired back at the allegation, claiming on his own Twitter page that the former "Bachelorette" has his "total support if she wants to appear" on "Dancing With the Stars." "Thanks I'll get right on that opportunity [two years] ago," she responded.
"I wonder what changed your mind?"
Many stars from the 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' have appeared on 'DWTS' in past seasons
While Kaitlyn Bristowe was reportedly banned from appearing on "Dancing With the Stars," several members from the franchise have appeared on the series in the past, including past "Bachelor" stars Sean Lowe and Jake Pavelka, and "Bachelor" winner Melissa Rycroft, who won the mirror ball. As for "The Bachelorette," just one star, Trista Sutter, was featured on the ABC dancing competition.
Kaitlyn Bristowe's wedding planning isn't going too smoothly
Bristowe and Booth have been engaged for some time, but at this point, they don't have any firm plans in place to wed. Instead, they are struggling to get all of their ducks aligned.
“We’re just terrible at planning things together. We’re kind of just like, ‘When it happens, it happens,'" Bristowe revealed during an interview with People Magazine earlier this year. "We’re so busy, we don’t have the time to sit down and plan a wedding, but if someone wants to plan it for us, we’re open!"
