HBO dropped the first official trailer of Game of Thrones” Season 7 and it will definitely send chills down the spine. The intense teaser hints an upcoming epic battle as winter has now come.

As the new installment of the TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song Ice and Fire” will be down into only seven episodes, fans can expect to see an action-packed adventure in every chapter. With the return of the fan-favorite characters and the addition of new cast, viewers are up for a different kind of experience.

‘Winter is coming’

In the new trailer of “Game of Thrones” Season 7, the show’s three lead stars can be seen marching the long hallway.

Titled “The Long Walk,” Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), and Cersei (Lena Headey) can be seen walking to their own respective thrones.

Led by Snow, he is wearing his signature dark outfit as the Lord Commander and the King in the North. Cersei, too, is sporting her suit as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Lastly, Daenerys sits on her new throne as she plans to take over Westeros.

As they take their respective seats, Cersei can be seen letting out her breath the gets icy in the air. This just means that in the summer weather of King’s Landing, the winter has now come. And as the camera pans out from Cersei's stare, the crystal blue eye of the Night King replaced her’s hinting an epic battle.

There are strong assumptions that it also hints the unity of the three major characters to fight off the White Walkers.

New characters coming in ‘GoT’ S7

Meanwhile, “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will be joined by Jim Broadbent, Ed Sheeran, and Noah “Thor” Syndergaard. Although the first two mentioned will only be seen in their short unknown roles, the latter will play an important role.

"I'm a maester, an arch maester. I'm an old professor character," the NY Mets pitcher told Screen Crush. Snydergaard also revealed that fans are about to see him in five episodes and doing “one major scene in each episode.”

The seventh season of the epic fantasy television series will be air later than usual on July 16 on HBO bearing only seven episodes.
