If ever there was a worse reason for "This Is Us" to be pushed back, it's because it's being pre-empted by President Trump bloviating to the nation about some nonsense or another. But that's the reality fans of the hit NBC show are forced to face, as this week's episode is being pushed back due to a Presidential "speech."

When does a new 'This is Us' air?

Originally, the latest new episode of "This is Us" was scheduled to air tomorrow, February 28th, beginning at 9:00 p.m. EST. However, thanks to Trump's speech, the newest episode will instead air on March 7th, 2017, at 9:00 p.m.

EST. The season finale of "This is Us" will air on March 14th, 2017, at 9:00 p.m. EST.

According to news reports, this will be President Trump's first meeting with a joint session of Congress, wherein they plan to talk about repealing Obamacare despite the protests of millions of people who will, ultimately, die without it.

When last we left our beloved "This is Us" family, we were watching a stand-alone episode featuring Randall and William. They'd traveled to "Memphis" together -- hence the title of the episode -- and Randall learned about his biological father's past, as well as about a family he never realized he'd had.

Unfortunately, William's cancer had grown progressively worse, and at the end, it was revealed that William knew that his disease was terminal.

As such, he'd wanted to travel to his hometown to die, which he ultimately did at the end of the episode.

The death of William was certainly an emotional one for "This is Us" fans, and it's a topic that promises to be explored in the new episode that is now being pushed back. Perhaps, then, it's for the best, as it will give fans time to recuperate from what was unquestionably a tough episode to watch.

In addition, fans fully expect that the final two episodes of the season will deal with how, ultimately, their beloved Jack Pearson (played by Milo Ventimiglia) died. Theories abound on the Internet, and it should be interesting to see which, if any, come to pass.
