It turns out that things are really going to be changing up on "America's Got Talent" next year. Nick Cannon is revealing that he will be leaving the show and moving on. This all comes after Nick almost got fired for a comment he made. Now he is leaving on his own instead of letting them take his job away.

What happened with Nick Cannon and why is he quitting?

Nick actually made a joke on his comedy special that they were not happy about and he won't apologize for it. Nick shared in a statement that for days he has been threatened that they would fire him and he had to do a lot of thinking to decide what to do.

He shared saying, "NBC believed that I was in breach of contract because I had disparaged their brand." Nick Cannon doesn't understand at all how this was a breach of his contract. Nick had to make a decision that he isn't happy about it, but he will be leaving the show because he says that he won't be silenced.

Nick Cannon shared that he has been on the show for eight seasons and loved it. He went on to say that this isn't the first time they have tried to silence him. Nick went on to say, "My moral principles will easily walk away from the millions of dollars they hang over my head. It’s never been about the money for me, what is difficult to walk away from is the fans, the people who love me on the show."

The joke that Nick Cannon made will air on his special "Stand Up Don’t Shoot" which is set to air this Friday, on "The Howard Stern Show." The thing is Nick said something about NBC making him lose his "black card." They didn't like that he was talking negative about the network and this is why Nick Cannon was almost fired from the show and then decided to call it quits.

It will be interesting to see who they find to replace him and if the person can do near as well as Nick Cannon.
