There are strong assumptions that since One Direction has been disbanded, Harry Styles will eventually have his own solo album. Now, Sony Music CEO Rob Stringer revealed that the favorite vocalist from the English pop boy band will soon unveil his very own LP. Harry Styles is going to follow in the footsteps of his former One Direction bandmates, like Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. The 23-year-old ex-boyfriend of Kendall Jenner is about to unveil his own album very soon.
New album coming real soon
"We're close and we're very excited," Rob Stringer told Billboard.
In fact, he hinted that they now have the record and it is not far away from being ready. “Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who's authentic.” The head of Sony Records even teased that the album is composed of great tracks that are way better than what people expect. They are all making sure that Harry Styles' first solo album will be beautifully done, and that he will stay with the record label.
Boys of One Direction’s success
Unlike the boy bands from the past, One Direction boys, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles are all successful in their solo careers. Rob Stinger explained that these guys never let themselves be stuck inside a box of singing and dancing.
"It didn't have all the rules of the boy bands of the past where they're too boy-next-door, too sickly sweet,” he added.
They never let anyone to treat them like caricatures and do things that everyone says as they are making smart choices of their own. “With One Direction, they became so big everywhere and from day one that their spread is much wider than other previous boy bands,” he continued.
Reaching their own goals
Harry Styles is not the first member of One Direction who will have a solo album. To recall, Zayn Malik was the first one to have a solo career after he quit being part of the band. His first album, “Mind of Mine," was number one and critically-acclaimed.
Niall Horan’s first solo LP, “This Town,” is also a success that got the number nine spot on the UK singles chart and top 20 in America.
Lastly, Louis Tomlinson’s “Just Hold On,” in collaboration with Steve Aoki, already reached the number two spot in the UK shortly after its release in December.
As fans are still waiting for Harry Styles’ album, his movie with Christopher Nolan is about to come out. Avid supporters of the singer-songwriter will be seen him on the big screen in the WWII drama “Dunkirk” this summer.
