After much delay, Dulquer Salmaan's most anticipated Malayalam movie "Jomonte Suvisheshangal" was released on January 19, 2017.
The film was slated for a theatrical release on last December, but due to the issues between producers and theater owners, it was delayed for a month. This movie has succeeded in giving a bit smile on the lips of the audiences while leaving the screens.
Apart from Dulquer, the film also stars Mukesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Anupama Parameshwaran, and Manobala in other prominent roles.
Dulquer excels in a rural role
Dulquer Salmaan, the most bankable young hero in Mollywood, is known for portraying the roles of urban youth on screen. But when it comes to "Jomonte Suvisheshangal," things have changed, and for the first time in his career, the actor has enacted the character of a rural youth who lives in Thrissur.
The initial portions of the movie depict the character of Jomon, who is fun loving, but lazy by birth. His father is lovable, but he always quarrels with him to see his son climbing the stairs of success.
In the meantime, a girl enters the life of Jomon, and it makes things more complicated.

Sathyan Anthikkadu's masterpiece storytelling
Sathyan Anthikkadu, the veteran director, has made movies with unique Kerala elements, and he has repeated the same in this film as well. It has that innocence of village, beautiful locales and well-sketched characters which are considered to be the trademark ingredients in Sathyan Anthikkadu films. The director also has extracted the best from the lead stars, Dulquer and Anupama.

But the surprise package in this film is Mukesh, the actor who played the role of Jomon's father. The veteran actor once again proved that he has the mettle to perform any kind of roles with perfection, and he deserves an encouraging pat for this effort.
Box-office predictions
Considering the rushes in theaters today and the star power of Dulquer among youngsters in Kerala, the film is expected to make it big at the box-office. In Kerala alone, the film is now showing on more than 300 screens, and as a result, it is expected to gross more than Rs 10 Crores by the end of this weekend.
