Christina El Moussa is caught up in a new scandal. After dealing with the fallout from her and Tarek's separation announcement at the end of last month, which was proceeded by the news of a bizarre incident at their home involving a gun and feared suicide attempt, Christina has been accused of texting her alleged new boyfriend, Gary Anderson, prior to her split from Tarek.

On January 5, The Wrap shared details of a recent report by In Touch Weekly, in which an insider claimed that the alleged text messages sent between Christina and her rumored boyfriend were what prompted the May incident involving Tarek and one of his guns.

According to the magazine's report, Christina established a relationship with Gary in 2015 after she and Tarek hired him to work on their swimming pool.

While both Tarek and Christina El Moussa insist that no third party was involved in their decision to end their marriage, the insider said Tarek “was suspicious” that Christina was involved with someone else, and in May, their situation reportedly exploded. As the outlet revealed, Tarek allegedly saw his wife's phone and believed she and Gary had engaged in some "inappropriate texting."

What happened between Christina and Tarek in May?

Last spring, authorities in Orange County, California received a call about a “possibly suicidal male with a gun.” However, while Tarek reportedly admitted to grabbing a gun and exiting his home, he claimed he was just trying to blow off some steam as he ventured off into Chino Hills State Park.

As for why he traveled with a gun, the television star suggested he was taking precautionary measures to prevent himself from being injured by a mountain lion or rattlesnake.

While the future of "Flip or Flop" appears to be up in the air at the moment, the network said in a statement that they “will continue production as scheduled.”
