It's no secret that things aren't going according to plan for Donald Trump and the White House. As part of his way to vent, the president decided to take out his frustrations on members of Congress.
Trump on Twitter
When Donald Trump kicked off his campaign for president back in the summer of 2015, he made a lot of promises to American voters. Over the course of the 2016 presidential election, Trump was able to convince enough people to vote his way, pushing him to an upset win over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton last November.
Since the election, most of Trump's promises have gone unfulfilled due to a variety of reasons. Whether it's his inability to rally Republicans to repeal the Affordable Care Act, not being able to push through his controversial travel ban, or the growing Russian scandal that has dominated the news cycle, the former host of "The Apprentice" has failed to live up to the hype. In sticking with his routine of taking out his anger and frustrations on social media, Trump has decided to target Congress for not helping him make his agenda a reality, which was evident during a tweet on August 3.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday was Donald Trump who didn't hold back his thoughts about Congress.
"Our relationship with Russia is at an all-time & very dangerous low," Trump tweeted out, before adding, "You can thank Congress, the same people that can't even give us HCare!" This isn't the first time the president has hit back at Congress, which has occurred on more than one occasion in recent months as Republicans and Trump have been unable to come to a consensus on an alternative health care bill to replace Obamacare.
Trump's tweets
In addition to the aforementioned tweet, Donald Trump sent out a pair of other social media messages. "Business is looking better than ever with business enthusiasm at record levels," the president wrote, while noting, "Stock Market at an all-time high. That doesn't just happen!"
In a follow-up tweet, Donald Trump railed against regulations on business.
"I am continuing to get rid of costly and unnecessary regulations," Trump tweeted, before stating, "Much work left to do but effect will be great! Business & jobs will grow."
Moving forward
As Donald Trump continues to air his grievances on social media, the commander in chief is facing a variety of problems in his own administration. In addition to the legislation issues, the president is dealing with scandals ranging from his rotating cast in the White House, to the impact of the Russian government on his team.
