Epic Games has finally released the long-awaited v8.50 update for "Fortnite Battle Royale." For the first time in the game, players can use a Marvel cosmetic item as the Black Widow outfit was released to the Item Shop. Besides this, the video game developer has released the Endgame limited-time game mode which includes Thanos and a few superhero items from "Avengers: Endgame," such as Captain America's shield.

Beside the crossover with the popular movie, there haven't been many other gameplay changes. Epic Games has fixed a lot of bugs once again, and there have been a lot of new games files found in the game data.

These files have been leaked by data miners, and it turns out that two major points of interest will be destroyed this season: Tilted Towers and Retail Row! Yes, you read that right. Tilted Towers will soon be destroyed.

Tilted Towers

Tilted Towers is the most popular area in "Fortnite Battle Royale." It is a hot zone where at least one-fifth of the lobby drops every single game. It is the area that gives players most loot and considering that it's located close to the center of the island, it is usually included in the first and second safe zone. Tilted Towers POI was released on January 27, 2018, in the v2.0 patch. It has marked a new era for the popular video game, and shortly after, "Fortnite" has reached its peak.

All good things come to an end, however. Data miners have revealed that Tilted Towers will be destroyed very soon. At the moment, it is unknown what exactly will happen to the area, but considering there will be some lava in it, we can expect the destruction to come after the volcano eruption.

In the video above, you can see what Tilted Towers is going to look like soon.

It is important to note that we are entering the ninth week of Season 8, which means that these big changes could happen within the next two weeks. The current season is scheduled to end on May 8, and the new-look island will most likely be released by then.

Retail Row

Retail Row is one of the original areas of "Fortnite Battle Royale" that is still on the island.

It has survived for more than seven seasons, but it appears that its end will happen soon. Data miner FortTory has released the video which shows what this point of interest is going to look like soon, and we can see that its destruction will be similar to the destruction of Tilted Towers.

It is important to note that the data miner could not properly show destroyed buildings in this area. However, just like in Tilted Towers, most of the buildings will be completely destroyed and Retail Row will look much different in the next season. Many other data miners have confirmed these changes, and we are now waiting for Epic Games to release them to live servers.
