Epic Games has released more than 80 updates for "Fortnite Battle Royale" since its September 2017 release. These updates have helped the video game become the biggest game in the world, and even a year and a half later, it is still very popular and keeps breaking records. The video game creator is about to drop another big update on April 25, and it will bring a crossover with "Avengers: Endgame."

The game developer also revealed some other things that could come with the next update. The v8.50 "Fortnite Battle Royale" update is scheduled to be released on April 25 at 5 AM ET and it could be one of the biggest updates of Season 8.

Epic Games could release the Duel game mode with it, which will be different from the rest of the game. This is the mode the developer has revealed on Reddit, although there has been no official confirmation regarding its release date.

1v1 duel is coming to 'Fortnite'

"Fortnite Battle Royale" has had a lot of different game modes since its release. Three game modes have been in the video game for the longest time: Solo, Duos, and Squads. Epic Games has also added Playground as a permanent mode as well. Besides these four modes, the game developer has decided to keep one of the big-team modes permanent, such as Team Rumble or Food Fight. There have been a lot of other modes, but they were in the game for a limited time.

These modes have had custom settings and some of them weren't even about the last man standing concept.

Epic Games revealed that a 1v1 duel mode will be added to "Fortnite Battle Royale" at some point. According to one of the game developers, the feature is in development and it appears that it will be linked to the Creative mode.

Considering that this will be a unique game mode, it won't be surprising if Epic Games adds a scoring system at some point to rank players in different regions.

At the moment, it is unknown when exactly this mode will come out. However, considering that it will most likely be a huge mode, I expect the game developer to possibly release it at the start of Season 9.

I am hoping that Epic Games will release more information regarding this mode soon.

The v8.50 update

The v8.50 update will be a crossover with the "Avengers: Endgame" movie. Epic Games released teasers regarding this update, but players are still unsure what these teasers are supposed to mean. Each teaser has a unique item from the movie, such as Captain America's shield, but it is unknown if there will be Avengers cosmetic items in the game or simply a limited-time game mode which features all the items shown in the crossover teasers.
