Epic Games developers are currently on a winter break, but that won't stop them from releasing "Fortnite Battle Royale" updates on a weekly basis. The video game creator has recently released the v7.10 patch, adding numerous new files to the game data. While the patch itself wasn't big, since the driftboard release has been postponed, data miners have found a lot of new files, revealing what things are going to be added to the popular video game.

The v7.10 content update was released on December 23 and it has brought in-game presents and new limited-time game modes.

However, the game developer will release another content update, and it will happen on Sunday, December 30. Considering that Epic Games has released every update between Tuesday and Thursday, this timing is odd, but we can expect a big surprise.

Things coming with the next update

The Driftboard was originally scheduled to be released with the v7.10 patch, but the game developer had to postpone it due to some bugs. However, we can expect this new mobility item to be released this Sunday. Fortunately, "Fortnite Battle Royale" players have already had a chance to see what this item is going to look like. In case you missed it, check out the video below.

Along with the Driftboard, the video game creator may release the BoomBox.

At the moment, no one knows what exactly this item is going to be, but there is a chance that it is going to be a Boogie Bomb replacement. Some "Fortnite" players believe that this item is going to make gunshot sounds and that players are going to use it for diversion.

The upcoming content update may also add carrots. Carrots are foraged items and it will most likely be placed all over the island, just like apples and mushrooms.

However, Epic Games hasn't released any details about this item, so we don't know how it is going to work. There is a chance that carrots are going to give players both shield and health, which would make them very valuable.

Finally, data miners have discovered a new submachine gun in the "Fortnite Battle Royale" data. The video game developer may decide to vault the current submachine gun and replace it with a new model, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

Considering that the developer has recently released a legendary submachine gun, P-90, the new gun will most likely be Rare or worse.

The last update in 2018

The v7.10 content update will be the last "Fortnite Battle Royale" update in 2018. Epic Games is planning big things for 2019, so stay tuned!
