"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are just one week away from entering the fifth season of the popular video game. Epic Games, the "Fortnite" developer, announced that Season 5 would start on July 12 at 4:00 AM ET, which means that players only have a few more days to get Season 4 Battle Pass rewards. Season 5 will bring new cosmetic items and many map changes, but it could also bring a new feature if recent leaks are to be believed.
A few days ago, players witnessed the missile launch event. The event caused a few changes to the map, including several cracks on the sky and a few portals over the island.
It is still unknown what the game developer will do for the next season, but recent "Fortnite Battle Royale" leaks indicate that the season will have a historical theme and that there will be some animals in certain places on the map.
Season 5 animals
Reddit user The-Internet-Explore posted some interesting leaks on "Fortnite Battle Royale" subreddit on July 2. The user claimed to have information regarding the upcoming season, and they revealed that some animals would appear on the island. The Playground LTM trailer supports these claims, but we won't know if they are true until Epic Games releases the new season.
According to the redditor, a T-Rex will be added to Jurassic Jungle, which will be the area that will replace Lonely Lodge.
A pterodactyl will also be found in this area, more specifically around the watchtower. Season 4 hinted at dinosaurs as players can find a giant footprint near Greasy Grove, and it turns out that Epic Games could make this happen.
Beside these two animals, the "Fortnite Battle Royale" universe will get horses around the current motel location, and there will be some camels near the soccer stadium.
It is important to note that both of these locations will be changed and adapted to the fifth season.
If the leak turns out to be true, Moisty Mire will be replaced by Pirates Point and this area will have parrots. Haunted Hills will maintain its current theme and bats will be added to the buildings in this area. Finally, Anarchy Acres and Fatal Fields will hold cows and sheep in the barns and horses in the stables.
The leak
At the moment, it is very hard to say whether the person who leaked this information has legitimate sources or not. However, Epic Games hinted at some of these things in the game itself, and data miners have also discovered some Wild West information in game files.
Additionally, Reddit user internetadam, who posted valid leaks regarding "Fortnite Battle Royale" Season 4, stated that Moisty Mire would be destroyed at the end of the season. Considering that this user has been right about a lot, we can expect this area to be replaced by Pirates Point.
