The latest updates for "Soul Calibur 6' reveal a new gameplay trailer featuring the return of series fan-favorite ninja, Taki. She is one of the original characters in the "Soul" series, who first appeared in "Soul Edge" alongside Sophitia, Siegfried, and Mitsurugi. Taki will use her ninjutsu techniques and lightning-fast attacks to destroy her opponents in the sequel.
There are also rumors of a possible Release Date of the game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC platform courtesy of Amazon Italy. Bandai Namco Entertainment promised video game fans that they will launch the sequel this year and they are still busy developing new features and characters in the roster.
Taki joins the fight
Taki's trailer was first discovered by Japanese video streaming site Nico Nico. Bandai Namco Entertainment officially streamed her gameplay trailer and featured her classic red ninja outfit with her two kodachi, Rekki-Maru and Mekki-Maru.
Based on the gameplay trailer, Taki uses her speed and training as a ninja to her advantage as she can outmaneuver her opponents' close range or from a distance. She can unleash fast chained-attacks for devastating combos and joggles, and perform ninjutsu moves to create massive damage.
Taki will join other characters in the sequel which include Sophitia, Seigfried, Mitsurugi, Ivy, Xianghua, Zasalamel, Kilik, Groh, Nightmare, and Geralt of Rivia from "The Witcher" series.
"The Witcher" game director Borys Pugacz Muraszkiewicz stated in a previous interview that Geralt's fighting style in "Soul Calibur 6" will be similar to the games, combining swordplay with the use fo alchemy and Witcher signs. CD Projekt RED animation head Sebastian Kalemba added that they had to develop Geralt from scratch in order to make him user-friendly for players who are not familiar with him.
Aside from Geralt, there are other characters that could possibly join the game's roster such as Hunter from "Bloodborne," Jago from "Killer Instinct," and Lucina from "Fire Emblem."

While Bandai Namco Entertainment has not made any statements or comments about the September release date, the Japanese publisher will indeed launch the game this year, and will likely showcase more promotional materials for the sequel before it becomes available.
