"Fortnite Battle Royale" will receive a new set of weekly challenges this Thursday, allowing players to quickly level up and earn valuable Battle Pass awards. Season 3 is coming to an end and this will be a second-to-last set of challenges. Once again, there will be seven challenges in total, with three of them categorized as hard challenges.
Completing the entire set will reward players with 50 Battle Stars in total, which translates into five Battle Pass tiers. Additionally, players will receive 4,000 Season XP after completing four challenges.
1) Deal damage to opponents structures
Building is one of the most important aspects of "Fortnite Battle Royale" and this Week 9 challenge will have players focus on destroying their enemies' structures. To complete this, players will have to deal 5,000 damage to the enemy buildings.
2) Search chests in Haunted Hills
Haunted Hills doesn't have too many chest locations, so this challenge might take a while to complete. Players will need to open seven chests in this area to be rewarded with five Battle Stars.
3) Build structures
This unique challenge will require "Fortnite Battle Royale" players to build 250 structures to complete it. Considering that some players build over 100 structures in a single match, this should be a relatively easy task for everyone.
4) Visit different Taco Shops in a single match
Last week, "Fortnite Battle Royale" players had to visit three different dance floors, but in week 9, it will be all about Taco Shops! It seems that this challenge was supposed to be added to the last week's set, but the game developer postponed it for week 9. There are not many such shops on the map, so players will have to figure out the best route to get to three of them before the storm gets them!
5) Follow the treasure map in Moisty Mire (Hard)
This is the first hard challenge and it will require players to locate a Battle Star on the island. The treasure map will be located in Moisty Mire, so players will have to go there first in order to see where to find the star.
6) Shotgun Eliminations (Hard)
Even though this challenge has been categorized as hard, many players will finish it easily in a single match.
All you have to do is to get four eliminations using a shotgun, and considering that shotguns are commonly used in a close range, this task should be very easy.
7) Eliminate opponents in Lucky Landing (Hard)
In week 9, players will go down south to Lucky Landing to get three eliminations. This is the third and the final challenge that will reward players with 10 Battle Stars.
Additional info
"Fortnite Battle Royale" players can expect another patch to drop this week. The patch will add a Light Machine Gun to the popular video game, and it will also fix some issues, such as peeking or switching delay for sniper rifles. Additionally, Epic Games decided to move a Guided Missile to the Vault. This weapon will no longer be available to the players, but it might be reintroduced once the game developer figures out how to make it more balanced.
The patch is expected to be released on Thursday, April 19.
