There are tons of racing titles in the video game industry now, but nothing comes close to “NASCAR Heat 2.” The sequel is set to feature the popular race series in the world called Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series; hence the title of the game. But unlike the original game, the follow-up will offer new features and whatnots for a better gameplay experience.

Just a few months ago, 704Games made an interesting process in voting for the cover athlete of “NASCAR Heat 2.” This was made via a poll on the game’s official site, and from there, players got the chance to vote for their favorite drivers.

Fast forward today, everything is set, and the studio is just hype to release more details about the game.

The three major series content

Apparently, the video game company plans to introduce a content that will bring the three major series of NASCAR. Obviously, the first one is the core NASCAR Cup series. This will be followed by the NASCAR XFINITY feeder series and, the last but certainly not the least, Camping World Truck discipline. These are things that every player have been hoping to see in the second iteration.

With those above, the community can expect a good array of vehicles and drivers from the titular major series.

It should be noted, however, that the identities of these have yet to be revealed by developer 704Games. Also, the game will also offer a total of six additional race tracks. There will be three road courses and two paved ovals, with one being a dirt track. As for where exactly the venues will be, these remain to be a mystery.

The beauty of split screen

Many believe that the era of split screen in video gaming has ended and that the studio should not have included it in “NASCAR Heat 2.” Well, apparently, it is one of the most beautiful things about the forthcoming game. The inclusion of this feature in the game went perfectly right, as contrary to what players believe the most. There was no evidence of frame drops, something that usually happens when a game enters split screen mode.

Above all, the overall racing experience is a top notch.

Whatever 704Games did is quite remarkable, considering how well the mode as mentioned above worked in “NASCAR Heat 2.” The smoothness can be likened to the way the game is played in the single-player mode. There were no visual conflicts, as players can easily see the other vehicles when driving. Moreover, the camera works in a way that it does not interfere with the player’s field of vision. It seems to have been developed specifically to cater the split screen mode.
