Motorola launched the Moto Z2 Force smartphone just a month ago and the handset has already been hit by a Jelly Scrolling Effect controversy. Users are now complaining about the jelly effect issue while scrolling up and down the device’s screen. Motorola's new device has the same jelly effect issue just like the OnePlus 5 smartphone.

Owners of the OnePlus 5 flagship smartphone reported the jelly-like problem but, the tech giant didn't acknowledge it as a problem. The OnePlus company issued a formal statement in which they claimed that the subtle visual effect in the smartphone is totally natural.

According to XDA Developers, the newly launched Moto Z2 Force was hit with the same Jelly effect issue. Moto Z2 Force users are claiming that their devices also have the same screen jelly problem. The issue occurs particularly in the settings section, Twitter app and in the app drawer.

Several speculations have surfaced online, with one claiming that the Force’s problem could be a VSync issue while some speculations claimed that the display of the handset has been installed upside down. However, a teardown of the OnePlus 5 smartphone confirmed that the display IC of the device is located at the bottom, which could be something that Motorola’s latest handset also seems to imitate.

Smartphone’s specs

In spite of that, the Moto Z2 Force appears to boast several interesting specs and features. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and will upgrade to Android O. The handset comes along with a 5.5-inch QHD ShatterShield POLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. Nonetheless, according to WCCF Tech, although the handset’s Shatterproof Display could handle massive hammer strikes, the soft material of the gadget is vulnerable to scratches.

Device with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor

The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system on chip (SoC). The smartphone is available in two models - a 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of built-in storage. The internal storage of the device is expandable up to 2TB through a microSD card.

On the camera front, the smartphone carries a 12MP rear dual camera setup, consisting of Sony IMX386 sensors with an f/2.0 aperture as well as a 1.25-micron pixel. The handset also bears a 5MP front camera with an 85-degree wide angle lens, LED flash module and an f/2.2 aperture.
