The much awaited Apple iPhone 8 has new leaked and it is in the form of two videos allegedly from the assembly chain of the company. Although Apple’s icon could not be seen on any of the devices, the leaked videos appear to be authentic at least at first sight.

The videos showcased some rumored features of the upcoming iPhone 8, such as a vertical camera setup as well as a jet-black rear. The videos also seem to indicate an iPhone 7-like shape with a sleeker form factor.

As the videos only showed the rear of the handset, whether the iPhone 8 will arrive with an edge-to-edge display or not, could not be confirmed.

One of the videos showed the alleged iPhone 8 smartphones to be affixed to a metal shelving rack. According to Mac Rumors, KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, believes that the tech company will kick off the production verification tests for the upcoming smartphones in late August. After that, the company will start mass production in mid-September. However, despite the extremely strict security regulations of the Cupertino based company in its supply chain, an authentic supply chain video seems to have surfaced online, which seems to be using a concealed camera.

New color variant

Meanwhile, there is now a reason to believe a previous leak claiming that the forthcoming smartphone will arrive with a new color option.

The alleged Foxconn insider may have revealed the moniker of the color variant.

According to Tech Radar, mobile reporter, Benjamin Geskin, posted on his Twitter account that a Foxconn insider told him something about the iPhone 8. Geskin stated that the third color variant for Apple’s new iPhone is known at Foxconn as Blush Gold.

The mobile reporter even posted renders of the device to show off what the new variant looks like.

Geskin also claimed that Apple would roll out the Blush Gold iPhone 8 in 64GB and 128GB models. It is very unlikely that the tech company would leave out the 256GB model from this new color option.

Specs of the handset

The iPhone 8 is expected to arrive with a 5.8-inch OLED edge-to-edge display, wireless charging support, rear-facing Touch ID sensor, face-scanning technology and a support for LTE speeds up to 450Mbps.

The device will be powered by Apple’s A11 chip alongside iOS 11 with improved Siri. Apple's 10th-year anniversary iPhone will have a price tag around $1,100 to $1,200. The company is expected to launch the device next month.
