Ferrari 812 Superfast: most powerful Ferrari ever produced

Ferrari will present the new 812 Superfast, its fastest production supercar at the Geneva International Car Show of March 2017.

With the adjective 'Superfast', the Italian company wants to emphasize the outstanding performance of the supercar. Ferrari 812 Superfast reaches 60 mph from 0 in 2.9 seconds with a full speed of 211 mph. Designed on the basis of Ferrari F12 2012, the engine of 812 Superfast is a V12 6.5-liter with a power of 789 hp. The torque is approximately 530 ft lbs at 7,000 rpm. With a new system of injection, integrated directly at 350 bar, about 400 ft lbs of torque can be used at 3,500 rpm. This new configuration is inspired by the variable geometry systems of Formula 1 engines.

The design is inspired by the F12 and the Ferrari 365 of 1969

The 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari with Electric Power Steering which is tapped to a proper exploitation of the car’s potential. In fact, the EPS is used also to integrate all the electronic controls of the vehicle, such as the Side Slip Control 5.0 with the latest version that make the sport car even more powerful. Even the design of Ferrari 812 Superfast reminds us of the by now 'old' F12 with the high tail and fastback sleekness. The new LED headlights are encased in the bonnet with beautiful air intakes engraved. These air intakes and the door panels are complemented by very definite wheel-arches to elevate the design of the bonnet while the high tail is a tribute to the Ferrari 365 of 1969. The new car will be exported to the USA presumably at the beginning of the second semester 2017. The price? It is not yet known. But reasonably it will be approximately $300,000.
