People are used to seeing two celebrities argue on Twitter over the most trivial things. But what happens if two of the most influential figures do the same and their topic depends on the future advancement of technology?
That’s exactly what happened when Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, slammed Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, on Twitter saying Zuckerberg’s understanding of the future of Artificial Intelligence is “limited.”
Apparently, billionaires also turn to the social media platform to trade insults with one another, just like the rest of society.
I've talked to Mark about this. His understanding of the subject is limited.

Where it all began
It all started around two weeks ago when Musk was at a US Governors’ assembly. At the event, Musk expressed his feeling towards the future of the development of artificial intelligence, saying that it should be regulated before it’s too late.
The SpaceX CEO even said that artificial intelligence is a “fundamental risk to the existence of civilization,” according to a report by The Verge.
On Sunday, Zuckerberg was able to respond to Musk’s sentiments about artificial intelligence on a Facebook Live Q&A with his fans. One individual asked Zuckerberg what his thoughts are regarding the effects of AI.
Zuckerberg said that people who think AI is a real threat in the future are negative and irresponsible. He also added that AI will provide so much improvement in autonomous vehicles as well as health care.
Most people would understand Zuckerberg’s sentiments. After all, he depends on the technology for further development of his Facebook empire.
Is artificial intelligence a real threat?
Musk has always been open about his feeling in regards to AI. Perhaps he and Zuckerberg have a point on the matter.
Experts already dismissed Musk’s sentiments about future killing machines. However, they do point out the real threats that are present today such as putting people out of jobs and increased inequality, among others.
Those are the real dangers that need to be addressed by the two billionaires and not the apocalyptic future people only see in movies.
In addition, this is not the first time Musk and Zuckerberg was involved in a “situation.” A SpaceX rocket carrying a Facebook satellite exploded on take-off in 2016.
